A Vegvisir is an Icelandic magical stave that means “way finder” or “way shower” and is intended to help the bearer find their way through rough weather. The word consists of two words – Vegur – Old Norse for “way” and Visir or Visa – Old Norse for “to show, point out or indicate. The symbol was found by Geir Vigfusson in 1860 in the Huld Manuscript in Reykjavik with a citation “if this sign is carried, one will never lose one's way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known". Some believe that it is also featured in the Gladrabok – a magical grimoire (textbook of the craft), although there is some debate about this. It is often thought of as a Viking symbol but there is no evidence of this. May your Vegvisir always point you to the right path through the storms of life. Pendants come on Legend Cards with a 33" black cord. Fine Lead-Free Pewter.
