The Story of Shaddow Domain - Episode 11: Step Right Up!

Following are more photos of our first in-store museum on
Eastern Ave. in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
At some point, my aging brain is unsure when, I decided that having my personal collection of odd things boxed up in our little apartment was kind of insane and we created our little Dime Museum. In our Eastern Avenue location, the museum occupied a very small office area that my husband lovingly painted for me. I’m a big fan of Sherlock Holmes and I don’t think many people know that he patterned the museum room after Sherlock’s apartment. I could have lived in that tiny room, I loved it so much! Our museum is much larger now than it was then, but I really miss the feel of that tiny room. Maybe someday I’ll be able to convince him to help me stencil the new room to match the old room, but I think he’d sooner sell a kidney to pay a professional than take on that endeavor a second time.

I'm not sure when these photos were taken, but it would have had to be before we moved from Eastern Ave. to the Broadway building, our second location, so it would have been before 2016... ish. Now, 2026, the room is considerably larger and includes not only more of my collection but also much of my business partner's collection of oddities. Visitors from around the world have experienced our weird little corner of Idaho Falls, and we get new items whenever we find something that we think you will find interesting, or disturbing. So stop in every time you visit, you never know what we will come up with.
Paint and carpet pending, so many plans!
