The Story of Shaddow Domain: Episode 9 – Oh Yea, I Forgot, Many Years Ago We Had a Website!

First, let's start with what I thought at the time was a pretty cool graphic... heavy sigh. Yep, it was a different time, for sure.
Random Fun Fact! Before Shaddow Domain became an actual brick and mortar destination, it was a website that I coded from scratch. Around the year 2000 I bought a book, the title of which escapes me, that explained with cartoons how to code. This book was easier than the “for dummies” series which apparently had way too many words and not nearly enough pictures. Remember, this was 2000, so the site was made with basic html, and it was as bad as it sounds.
Our first online sale was a skull toilet brush and it was shipped to New Zealand. I created all of my own graphics and I look at them with fondness, because I thought they were so cool. I also still have all of the old code. Maybe I'll look at it again someday. Good memories.
I know some of this can be confusing because I'm re-writing this series of memories from blog posts I originally made in, I believe, 2022, so a lot has changed. We now have a shiny new and much improved website that magically figures out shipping so it's easy peasy, and we've also stumbled upon a way to see the old website without using the old code!

Full disclosure, I used The Wayback Machine to look up some of the things I used to look at when I was younger... it's still as bad as it was, you've been warned LOL.
Well that's it for this confusing episode of memories. Since we've already eviscerated the timeline, next month I'll take some time to answer some of the frequently asked questions that we've fielded over the years.
